As a postdoctoral fellow, I was involved in the cloning project of the genes responsible for Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome in Prof. R. Spritz's laboratory from 1998 to 2001. Now, I am engaged in both clinical and research dermatology in Japan. I am interested in the following topics; melanogenesis, oculocutaneous albinism, vitiligo, color of skin, and pigmentation of skin.
