E. Elizabeth Patton PhD FRSE is Professor at the MRC Institute of Genetics and Cancer, University of Edinburgh. Liz’s lab uses chemical genetics in zebrafish to investigate gene-drug interactions in melanocyte development and melanoma. Liz is Editor in Chief at Disease Models & Mechanisms (Company of Biologists, Cambridge UK). She was the founding President of the Zebrafish Disease Models Society and currently serves as an elected member to the executive of ZDMS, the European Zebrafish Society and the Society for Melanoma Research. Professor Patton is elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Her research is funded by Medical Research Council, European Research Council, and Melanoma Research Alliance.
